10 Best Travis Kelce Rookie Cards to Collect

One of the best players of his generation. Paving a Hall of Fame career. Playing a massive part in multiple Super Bowls. As exciting as they come with the ball in his hand. All those accolades and superlatives, and those might not even be the biggest things Travis Kelce is known for these days (wink, wink).

With his star seemingly still on the rise and many staking their claim he’s a consensus Hall of Fame upon retirement, getting into the Kelce rookie card market might not only be an excellent investment, but with the sheer quantity and quality of rookie cards out there, you’ll have some fun along the way.

Let’s look through a few of Kelce’s best from his 2013 rookie season.

1. 2013 Topps Travis Kelce #31

PSA 10 Value: $150

Starting off with a classic for many players and collectors alike is the Topps rookie card. Travis Kelce, on the other hand, feels the exact opposite. Going as far to say on his ‘New Heights’ podcast with brother Jason that if “anybody ever asks me to sign that card again, I’ll set it in flames right there in front of you.” I guess we know how Kelce feels.

Setting aside the goofy face and the Under Armour shirt on a Nike athlete, Kelce’s Topps rookie from 2013, even in the paper variety, is a more than adequate starting place for Kelce collectors.

2. 2013 Topps Chrome Travis Kelce Refractor #31

PSA 10 Value: $325

Taking that exact same photo and pairing it with premium chromium finish probably doesn’t make Travis Kelce any happier, but the Chrome Refractor version of his Topps rookie card is as slick as they come.

A top-tier card that deserves a place in any collection, the refractor parallel is not numbered but is considered a chase card that is certain to retain it’s value over the course of Kelce’s career.

3. 2013 Score Travis Kelce #424

PSA 10 Value: $175

With a high print run and relatively cheap price ungraded, Travis Kelce’s 2013 Score rookie card is one of the more iconic cards when thinking of Kelce’s rolodex of rookie year cardboard.

If the design harkens an earlier age of card production, that’s for good reason as it mimics the 1989 Score design made famous by an iconic rookie class led by Barry Sanders and Deion Sanders. With an autograph version of this same card also in existence, the Score rookie is a classic for any collector to own.

4. 2013 Panini Prizm Travis Kelce #296

PSA 10 Value: $200

In many collectors’ minds, Panini Prizm and Topps Chrome rookie cards stand neck and neck when it comes to which to own. In this version, Travis Kelce is wearing shorts and taking part in a Chiefs team practice – no chance he’s upset with the way he’s shown this time around.

Highly sought after and with a low print run, the Prizm rookie card can be had as a base version, in addition to multiple parallels including a die-cut, camo, and Finite 1/1, to name a few. The scarcity of not only the parallels but also the base card makes this card a top choice for collectors.

5. 2013 Panini Prizm Travis Kelce Silver Prizm Autograph #292

PSA 10 Value: $1,275

Taking all the pros of the Panini Prizm base card and brining it to the next level with the Silver Autograph version from Travis Kelce’s rookie season. Despite the sticker auto that particular collectors tend to avoid, this card has all the makings of a true classic bound to follow the trajectory of Kelce’s career: up.

In terms of price, a PSA 10 won’t come cheap, but a sleek design coupled with a potential high yield return on investment makes this card a top tier option to collect.

6. 2013 Panini Momentum Travis Kelce Autograph #192 /449

Estimated PSA 10 Value: $750

Of the handful of now-defunct Panini brands, Momentum is the most polished of the bunch, showing Travis Kelce in a white Chiefs uniform on a white background with a sticker autograph underneath. Numbered to 499 with a premium look and feel, this is one of the few rookie autographs that won’t cost collectors a premium price, raw or graded.

7. 2013 Panini Spectra Travis Kelce Autograph #194 /99

PSA 10 Value: $650

The high octane look of Panini Spectra can only be matched by the high octane offense of the Kansas City Chiefs with Travis Kelce catching passes from Patrick Mahomes. In the 2013 version, expect much of the same with a rookie Kelce in motion against an abstract design that leaves room for his sticker autograph.

Numbered to 99 copies but featuring a few different color parallels, Spectra’s staying power among other fallen brands should give collectors the comfort when investing in this particular Kelce rookie card.

8. 2013 Panini Contenders Travis Kelce ‘Left Hand Out’ Variation Autograph #187 /99

PSA 10 Value: $2,000

Because what is a rookie card without a fun, yet minor, variation? In the 2013 Panini Contenders set, Travis Kelce technically has two different versions of a rookie auto – a “Left Hand In” and “Left Hand Out” variation. And those names are to be taken literal: One version his left hand is within the space meant for his photo, while in the other his left hand is outside it.

No matter which a collector decides on, both can be had at a similar price point and prove to be an excellent investment in a Kelce rookie card collection.

9. 2013 Panini Select Travis Kelce Silver Prizm Autograph #242 /99

PSA 10 Value: $1,775

Known for it’s numerous parallels and different tiers of scarcity, the 2013 Panini Select Silver Autograph ups the level of Travis Kelce rookie autos by combining the striking refractor finish with a menacing photo of Kelce on the football field.

While you can settle for the base auto, the silver prismatic design adds to exclusiveness of this card, not to mention silvers are numbered to 199. With a very limited number in circulation, let alone graded, it’s a truly scarce rookie card that could be the centerpiece of any Kelce rookie card collection.

10. 2013 Panini National Treasures Travis Kelce Rookie Patch Auto #334 /99

PSA 10 Value: $2,000

The lone rookie patch autograph on this list and it’s for good reason – to many collectors it’s the finest RPA to own of any player. Panini’s National Treasures boasts some incredible inserts, autos, patches, and more in their checklist, but it’s the RPA that’s arguable the best of all. No difference for Travis Kelce who has some nasty looking patches a part of this series to go along with the sticker autograph.

National Treasures, a notorious luxury brand among collectors, is the one to own for any Kelce collector with the “base” RPA numbered to only 99 but offering parallels numbered to 49, 25, five, and the one of one as well.
